Night Guards / Bite Splints

Everybody should wear a bite splint. The enamel on your teeth wears down every day, a little bit until the dentin is exposed. Teeth may become more susceptible to decay; sensitivity and the nerve can become exposed. Without a bite splint, and as people age, their teeth become shorter because of the constant wear, clenching, grinding, and chewing. The best time to begin wearing a bite splint is when you are young, so you can keep your teeth looking youthful. Bite splints are also recommended for patients who consistently grind and clench their teeth while sleeping, or to protect the ceramic after a full mouth reconstruction. During your first visit, our team will take complimentary intraoral photographs to show you the wear. We will fabricate a custom-made bite splint, just for you.
